"Exist In Color"


Call for Modern and Abstract Art

Dimebox Gallery invites all artist residing in the United States to enter into our upcoming exhibit.  "Exist in Color." This is collection of art that celebrates the use of color. We are looking to show pieces that are bold and fresh. The utilization of color in modern and innovative ways will he highlighted. We are wanting to give a platform for artist all over to come together for a bright exhibition.

Exhibit to be held at Dimebox Gallery. Dimebox Gallery is a boutique gallery located in downtown Salt Lake City. Dimebox Gallery focuses on modern and abstract art. The 700 sq. ft. gallery is located in a renovated pasta manufacturing building. It boast unique features such as original hardwood floors and sliding doors. 

Work

Any 2D or 3D art work
All sizes of work must be smaller than 60inches x 60inches
Please submit up to 3 images works you would like to have considered. 
All work must be original pieces and signed by the artist

Submissions will only be accepted online

Entry fee is 25.00 per entry (maximum of 3 pieces of art work)

Each entry must contain 1 image per piece entered

Images must be jpg or pdf

Juror

Stefanie Dykes

Stefanie Dykes is a co-founder of Saltgrass Printmakers. Established in 2003, Saltgrass Printmakers is a non-profit printmaking studio and gallery located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Stefanie is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Utah.  She has taught printmaking and drawing classes at the University of Utah, Snow College, Westminster College. Stefanie is an active member and attends the Southern Graphics Council International print conferences and the biannual international IMPACT print conferences. Dykes received her MFA from the University of Utah in 2010.
Artist in Residencies: Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Snowmass, Colorado, 2013, Surel’s Place, Boise, Idaho, 2013 and PLAYA Summerlake, Oregon, 2015.

Curatorial project: Collected Experience, Rio Gallery, Salt Lake City, Utah. 2015.

July 22-31- Shipped and hand delivered work must arrive

 August 3-Sept 1st- Exhibit Dates

August 4- Reception 

September 3-Pick up date for art work

September 4-Shipped work will be sent 





Notification

All applicants will be notified by email. The artist that are selected to show at the exhibit will be given detailed instruction and additional information regarding specifics for the exhibit.





Terms of Entry

Artist is responsible for shipping work to and from Dimebox Gallery. Prepaid return shipping must accompany artwork upon delivery.  

Artwork will be insured while at gallery however, it is the artist’s responsibility for insuring work during transit to and from the gallery.

If artist are selected for exhibition, they agree to have work shown and represented by gallery during time of exhibit. The art pieces must remain in gallery during time of exhibit. If pieces are sold, commissionable agreement is to be adhered by artist and gallery. A commissionable agreement to made between artist and gallery at time that work is selected for exhibition.

The gallery will keep 30% commisoon on pieces sold.

Artist that exhibit work agree to images of their work to be used by Dimebox Gallery
